Shared Skies
A collaboration of academic and independent astronomers use resources at the University of Louisville and the University of Southern Queensland for research, teaching and informal education through Shared Skies. In the northern hemisphere, we have telescopes at Moore Observatory in Kentucky and Mt. Lemmon in Arizona, and in the southern hemisphere at Mt. Kent in Queensland, Australia. The latitude difference of the sites provides full sky coverage, and the longitude difference enables long duration autonomous observations as well as interactive observing in the daytime from the opposite hemisphere.
Through this site we offer links to our research, connections to classes and programs at our home institutions, resources for teaching and learning physics, astronomy and space science, and open access software.
